My designs for a suite at the Ice Hotel, Sweden.
The hotel is built each winter in Northern Sweden, inside the Arctic Circle. It is constructed entirely from snow and ice sourced from the local area.
Designers around the world were invited to submit proposals for a suite, the only requirement being the room dimensions, vaulted walls/ceiling and the inclusion of a double bed.
This design is based around the theme of ‘time’ and the styling and mechanics of a cuckoo clock.
Although the design wasn’t chosen to be built, the planning and sketches were still a good practice in interior structure/installation design, albeit a rather surreal interior.
